Bitdefender Blocking Webpages

As the description says, I want to know how to disable HTTP Scanning. Since this ridiculous problem with BD blocking everything I want to browse to (I mean really? Google? Cmon...) I'm tired of having to turn off my anti-virus everytime I want to browse the web.

Remotely connecting to my computer isn't really an option due to my work schedule. (Not saying I don't trust anyone, but I want to be sitting in front of my computer when someone accesses it)

So until a fix is found, it looks like this is the only work around. So, how do I go about it? Is HTTP Scanning the same as Real Time Protection?

  • You didn't tell us which BD product you are using. I have BD Antivirus Pro 2011 installed and this is where the option for http scanning

is located: Antivirus-->Shield-->Custom Level, then uncheck Scan web (HTTP) traffic.

Ah, didn't think to put it in the post. I was thinking because I'm in the 2011 Products section.... but yea there are more than one 2011 Product. Hehe

Anyways, thanks for showing me where that is. I am indeed using AV2011. Hopefully this will, for now, solve this problem.

  • You're welcome. Glad that answer your question.
