Yes there are people i know on other forum who have Total security with 5 hours no update. With the Free version there are no profiles i think and sometimes i had an update interval with 9 hours or 7 hours . . . I cant not sent logs to the support team because i uninstalled it a few days ago.

Where can i find the support teams for BD free, to ask them ?? or can you ask it to one of your friends . . . Why isn't the same team doing updates for all versions , if i understand its a special team just for BD free ?? It would be better that all the versions get the same updates (signatures) from BD free to → Total…

Its not the first i tell this, see my post from sept 15 You can't say that BD installation is corrupt or broken after a few days, there is something wrong with the update policy on the free version. Sorry to say that but i don't feel safe anymore when i use it, with so many hours difference.

No this is ridicoulous, there is nothing wrong with this installation, its installed for a week and several times i noticed this lack on updates… maybe because its the free version or there is something wrong with bitdefender. i'm not troubleshooting anything, i already uninstalled because 1 or 2 updates a day are just not…

And what about updates with so much time in between ? BD latest update was 9 hours ago ?? 🤔 i don't think this is normal , 9 hours without any update ? Sorry to say but other AV solutions update more like every 1 or 2 hours to be save as much as possible . . .

I already told it here in the forum that Bitdefender has performance problems, but i don't know if they working on a fix. Confirmed on av-comparative test https://www.av-comparatives.org/tests/performance-test-september-2024/

Just add it to exclusions , this is obviously a call back to the webpage technicolor modem from your internet provider… with other words a false positif . . .

But it could also be the fact that the program has a product update , when this happens the icon dissapears for a few seconds and enable again after the install with new services.

Already uninstalled after a day or two, its slow, opening several apps slows down the system. I just saw a Performance test result from av-comparatives which confirms this !! 🤔

I downloaded the free version a few days ago From central is version .208 Yesterday had update to 27.0.42.210

I think theres a typo ?? Recent is 27.0.42.210 and not 41

Is new version .208 available for download in BD central ??

The problem is when you have .198 you are stuck at 0% or 84 % and you cannot update to .201 It will only be possible with an installer that contains .201 or newer . . .

I think you will have to wait for a new installkit on BD central with latest build !

Are you guys updated every hour or two ?? Because last time i used BD free ( a few weeks ago) sometimes after 7 hours a signature update, i don't think this is normal !?

Last time i used BD free 3 weeks ago it only updated after 7 hours online. This week installed BD FREE , after install do a manual right click to update its definitions , its stuck at 0 % and stays there !!! . . . so uninstalled again !

Hi, Yes its like scott say, when download the new installer it installs always the previous build.

Annd if there is a new update why is it not available for download in BD central ?? its always previous version . . .

Biggest problems for now seems to be on W11 , i uninstalled and will see what happens later….

This is not a real solution , just a finger on a open wound..

I didn't want to say that i miss these profiles (and there is a solution for paid), but that the free version is also affected with this slow loading, so that should be fixed bij BD....

You have an old version of BD ??? latest is 27.0.30.140 march 4.

Bwah i don't need different profiles, for me its just fine.

I can't play with these profiles because i'm using the free version.

Several people see this, me too ... the icon in the taskbar loading services is much slower than before at startup.

Yesterday also no icon here at startup on the taskbar , happens sometimes not always. . . . 😣 Thinking of trying something else until issue has been solved.
