    Hi @dvsls

    Will this fix also address the issue of the update getting stuck at 84% when trying to update to the latest versions of the bitdefender app?

    I'm only experiencing the update getting stuck at 84% while trying to update ot the newest versions, the definitions update that happens automatically at about 5 minutes after booting my pc updates normally without getting stuck.

    To add here, the version 27.0.41.199 will also fix the update getting stuck at 84%.

    When will this version be available to download from bitdefender central?

    I uninstalled my bitdefender and downloaded and installed the latest version from bitdefender central but it's version 27.0.41.198.

    This version still gets stuck at 84% so I'll wont be able to update through automatic or manual update to version 27.0.41.201 so I'll have to uninstall and reinstall from the bitdefender central install file.

  • Same problem here. I'm repeatedly getting stuck at 84% (currently verstion .198). I can't believe it hasn't been resolved since the May. Paid product that can't be used. Switchnig back to Windows Defender for now.

    Is the version you have version 27.0.41.201 or version 27.0.41.198?

    Because the fix should be in the 27.0.41.201 version but not in the 27.0.41.198 version.

    I think you will have to wait for a new installkit on BD central with latest build !

  • Bitdefender product upgrades are released in batches, and there is no fixed timeline for when each batch will receive the latest product upgrade. Sooner or later, everyone will receive the product upgrade through Bitdefender updates.

  • Please give us the link to d/l the version 27.0.41.201. We are tied to uninstall and install the just d/l s/w but still show version 27.0.41.198 and keep stucking at 84%.

  • Tuesday already, still on 27.0.41.198 I just uninstalled using the uninstall tool twice(only way to uninstall BD stuck) and re installed, downloaded the installer again from Bitdefender Central, is there an offline installer for that version? this kind of problem should not happen, an update getting stuck and making the antivirus disappear every day for a month is not a premium experience

    Regardless, if you say the new version has resolved the issue, please provide us with the offline installer. No matter how many times we uninstall and reinstall, the update always gets stuck at 84%, and the version stays at 27.0.41.198.

    All my devices which installed BD windows version are all stop been protected since July. It is almost 3 months in my case.

  • @dvsls maybe you can help us out here. I assume there will be a follow up version to 27.0.41.201, since it doesn't seem to fix the update getting stuck at 84% as well?

    The problem is when you have .198 you are stuck at 0% or 84 % and you cannot update to .201

    It will only be possible with an installer that contains .201 or newer . . .

    What I do until this issue is resolved as a work around so it doesn't disappear is simply after boot of my pc I first let it auto update at about 5 minutes after boot (this is the definitions update checker and not the version update checker), then I simply disable the automatic updates and select "until next boot".

    I just ran the manual updater and this got stuck first for about 5 minutes at 0%, then it got stuck for about 5 minutes at 80% and then it got stuck again indefinitely at 84%.

    After reboot I still have version 27.0.41.198 running.

    When will version 27.0.41.201 be available to download manually from bitdefender central to then just reinstall?

  • No one's going to tell you. That's the "fun part". I ended up constantly checking the release notes and manual update guide at Latest Bitdefender Build Version & Manual Update Guide. That's all. Currently .199 is out since 09/17/2024.

    An update is currently underway AFAIK, I just prepared and built yesterday the release branch for the final testing. From the internal talks it is planned on the next Tuesday, it might be delayed (although I hope not to be) if the final tests discover remediations to be done. When it will actually hit the market an announcement will be made as usual.

    I downloaded the free version a few days ago

    From central is version .208

    Yesterday had update to 27.0.42.210

    Hi everyone,

    I uninstalled bitdefender and then reinstalled using the install file that I downloaded from central which is version 27.0.41.208.

    After install bitdefender tried to update to the latest version after version 27.0.41.208 and again failed to do so, updater still gets stuck at 84% when trying to update to newest version.

  • Same problem here, I'll disable updates again and run those manually, I think I won't renew my sub this year for my family, can't have all PC's with the same problem for months

    I think the only solution here is to wait until the 27.0.42.210 kit is available and reinstall then. As @RedsFan mentioned, he managed to update successfully to this version, however, it by the looks of it the issue where the update gets stuck at 84% persists for some users, but not all users. This will eventually be fixed with the next major update which I believe is scheduled to be released at the beginning of November (I could be wrong here, I don't have the exact dates and I don't wish to set the wrong expectations), at least this is the interval that was hinted on another thread recently.

    Can you let us know when version 27.0.42.210 is available for direct download from central thx.

    Also it would be great if the version number could be added to the download window in central so we could know which version it is and not have to install it to find out.

    And maybe also add the option to download previous versions of the installer in case there is an issue with the most current version and this way you can easily roll back to a previous version that would not have the issue that would be great.

    Already uninstalled after a day or two, its slow, opening several apps slows down the system.

    Yeah, apparently there are still some hiccups with that update getting stuck at 84%

    Hi everyone,

    I have noticed a new issue since I reinstalled bitdefender total security to the version 27.0.41.208.

    What I do until this issue with the version updater getting stuck at 84% is resolved is after the definitions auto updater has finished that runs about 5 minutes after boot I disable the automatic updater and select "until next boot" however I sometimes have when rebooting my pc that the updater is still set to disable until next boot and it also changes the "update-interval" setting to 8 hours from 1 hour.

    It seems to do this at random times and I don't know what the trigger is that causes this issue.

    BD latest update was 9 hours ago ?? 🤔 i don't think this is normal , 9 hours without any update ? Sorry to say but other AV solutions update more like every 1 or 2 hours to be save as much as possible . . .

    No this is ridicoulous, there is nothing wrong with this installation, its installed for a week and several times i noticed this lack on updates… maybe because its the free version or there is something wrong with bitdefender. i'm not troubleshooting anything, i already uninstalled because 1 or 2 updates a day are just not enough to protect its users !!
