Hello, Please try to reproduce the issue you encounter AFTER you enable the Firewall logging on the PC where the issue is resolved if you disable the same module. Hi DanyDan Your above comment does not make sense. Please explain what you want me to do on which computer after I have enabled increase log verbosity. XP PC…

System: i5 2400 Processor, 4GB RAM, Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit When advised in my previous thread: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=27620 to activate the "Increase log verbosity" of the firewall I noticed a deluge of activity being logged (see above. this is only a fraction). Please advise if this is…

Have turned off the stealth switch within BDIS on both computers and this has no effect either.

Cristi B I do not understand your reply. Adobe Acrobat / Reader X is running slow even if you don't have an antivirus installed. Is your above reply a statement or a question??? Also what is the point of an exclusion list if the applications are still scanned?
-
Thanks for the reply Cristi B. But in my opinion adding an application to an excluded list I do not consider a viable solution since it leaves that application vulnerable and unsecured. As per my last post, I down graded to version 9 and this runs perfectly without adding it to the exceptions list. Also as per my original…

Since the slowdown is intolerable, I have down graded to Adobe Reader 9.4.4 which run seamlessly and ultra quick compared to version X (10).

I had a similar issue and solved it by doing the following:- Open BitDefender / Update / Settings and ensure the following "tick" boxes are UNTICKED:- Enable update sharing (P2P) Upload BitDefender files from this pc Do this on each computer on the network. For me this reduced the port activity. Hope this helps.

DanyDan Have you finished your testing of this problem?

Hi Breadncheese, Thank you for the post. I will make few tests during the weekend and I will provide you with an answer on Monday. Thank you for understanding! Regards, Have you completed your tests?

I myself, and probably many others, have given up on the Network feature. After many months and apparent fixes this problem is still not resolved. My network consists of 4 x Windows XP Home 32bit Netgear DG834 Router After setting up the feature all seems to work then after only a few minutes, one by one the computers…

Its been 9 days since I posted this enquiry and I have had no answer to my question. BD team please make some sort of comment even just to acknowledge you have read my enquiry, not read it and leave no response!
-
Just to note: First of all the computers are registered as online but after only a few minutes they all start to register as offline.
-
I have followed the work around on Carmen Cernev's last post but this does NOT solve the problem. As per my last post BD keeps registering computers as offline when they are clearly not.
-
BD 2010 has now been out for 3+ months (first installed back in November 2009) and still the home network feature does not function properly. When activated the network feature lists all computers but then after only a few minutes it starts to register them offline, then randomly they come back online then suddenly their…

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with the same problem. Firewall is set to safe. I ran and will e-mail the sysdump…

Bitdefender uninstall tool is only compatable with version 7,8,9 & 10. BD2010 is version 11. I found this out when my installation went wrong and I used the uninstall tool and it didnt work, it clearly states which versions its compatible with. See last picture on this link:…
