Hi. Are you using FF version 33? I think there's an ongoing issue with it.
-
Hi. You may install Bitdefender Total Security 2015 only on computers running the following operating systems: Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (32-bit) Windows Vista with Service Pack 2 Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 Windows 8 Windows 8.1 antikythera is correct. You need to have service pack 3 set up here. Below is also the…

Some people managed to install this on Windows 10 preview by the way but good for you LP, you were able to install at least BD 2013. It would just be a matter of time though until Microsoft will release a final version of it.
-
I'd also like to add that I think BD should be exited out before pasting the backup to the desired directory to avoid issues. Then start it up or restart once the xml files are in place.
-
Just a thought here. Might as well try to disable real time protection and see if that was the module causing this.
-
FF could have done a lot of changes on FF 33 that caused Search Advisor not to work. I think as long as Bitdefender is aware about it, it should be in no time that an update will be made for it.
-
Nicely said. Although, there might also be a possibility that he thinks Bitdefender can do that. Just a thought.

Adobe QT32 Server.exe is bascially a well known file. I'm just not sure why this is tagged as a threat. But thanks for posting the fix for this.

Most of those IPs are being used by Vsserve.exe which is a module for real time protection. Maybe it's used to send data onto a server for future analysis?

Hi Dwalters, I don't think that Surface Pro 3 have anythng to do with this. But please check the suggestion below. http://www.bitdefender.com/support/my-syst...fender-866.html

I guess right now, all we can do is wait patiently. The developers might just need time to develop this and insert it with their busy schedule.

I think the virus database is the critical part. Even if the version is old but the virus definition are updated, it should be fine.
-
Hi. You can check on "22.3. Managing connection settings" to check on zones.

Photon is an innovative non-intrusive Bitdefender technology, designed to minimize the performance impact of antivirus protection. By monitoring your PC’s activity in the background, it creates usage patterns that help optimize booting and scanning processes. Hi. That's the definition of it. By the way, speed of scanning…

Sorry to see that you experienced receiving continuous email Autopilot. On my end in general, I just filter emails based on the sender. You might want to check if you email has that capability. I believe there are lots of ways to block mails too.

+1 on ignore once. There are a lot of instances that this would be needed.
-
Hi ynivers, how did the uninstall work for you? By the way, an FYI, you need to have only 1 security software or it might cause a conflict.
-
Hi. Just a quick one please. I was also searching around for BD and Linux compatibility. Is there a list somewhere that shows which specific linux flavor has proven to work well with BD?
-
I just noticed this. On the sticky posts, last update on the free version was last 29th October 2013. But not sure though when really the latest news was.
-
That's really odd. BD only detects a a virus when you're trying to delete a file using Ccleaner? is this only a single file or a lot of dll files? Only work around that I can think of right now is to disable real time protection probably.
-
Hi. I think that this is a sound idea but not useful to me. There will be times that a scan is ongoing and I have an emergency to really USB a flash drive. Just my opinion though.
-
Here you go. Stealth Mode off: Stealth Mode is off. Anyone from the local network or the Internet can ping and detect your computer Not sure with Generic though.

From what I have understood, installing Kaspersky is a tough task since they leave traces of install behind. Possibly in system registry too. But have you tried the guide from their KB site yet? It's 2014 but I think the steps should be similar. http://support.kaspersky.com/10014
-
Hi buddy, since you already uninstalled BD, there maybe just left of files or folders. Just go to C:\Window\TEMP\ look for that file or a Bitdefender folder and delete. But before you do that, how did you uninstall BD?
-
Do you have another security software running while you're downloading? try to disable that. Also, I have to point out the obvious but make sure too that you're internet connection is on.
-
From what I know, it does restore a false positive but it will give you an option on what to do next. After the scan is complete, it should give you the results and summary.
