Great!
  • I am happy to post, that the problem has been solved with today's update! Finally. Thank you. Greetings, Trav
  • Any news on this one? Since today the optional updates give me a warning again - this has NOT been fixed yet! Trav
  • Any news on this problem? Trav
  • I will choose a different antivirus solution after my license of BD expires if circumstances don't change soon... Really, I am not one of these always complaining persons but what the ammount of problems with BD in the last months is absolutely unacceptable and I as a consumer have to do the right decisions at some time. I…
  • As there is still no update from BitDefender that fixes this nasty problem, I would like to add the workaround I stumpled upon: If in the Windows Update settings, the checkbox for "other microsoft updates" is disabled, BitDefender gives me no annoying warning anymore ALTHOUGH the line saying "other microsoft updates" is…
  • Hi. Just a quick update from me: I am still suffering from exactly the same problem and I am still waiting for a fix so I don't have to reset it EVERY DAY. Thanks, Trav
  • I also have the same little bug and it does go away.I'm running Vista home premium sp/2 and bd av anti-virus 2010.Really like this new version of bitdefender and hope it works with windows 7. I'll be doing a in-place upgrade and was wondering if I should diable real time protection when I do it.Thanks and sorry for getting…
  • I have reported the same problem in this thread. Gruß, Trav
  • just pushing this back to page one while waiting for an answer..
  • Thanks for your reply. Here they are: http://www.sendspace.com/file/2w63rg http://www.sendspace.com/file/f1h7wm I also want to add the information that even deactivating and reactivating the check for security risks (I have the german version and don't know how it's labeled in english at the moment) reproduces the error:…
  • Hi there. You should - with respect to your health - really calm down a bit. Beside the fact, that I do also have trouble with some annoying bugs with BD2009/BD2010 I want to make clear, that BD2009 was and is compatible with Windows Vista as I had it running flawlessly on several different Vista installations (except for…
  • At the moment it seems that this has solved my problem... let's hope this is true. Unfortunately I did just discover a very similar bug some minutes ago. There's another setting which BD2010 "forgets" after a reboot - the warning about optional Windows Updates. I did exclude this from the warnings via the checkbox.…
  • To complete the overview about possible soluations for this problem, I cross-link to this link in the BD2010 forum. (It seems there might be a problem, if you had BD2009 installed before.) Trav
  • Interesting.. Yes, I had BD2009 installed before because I didn't know my license would work with BD2010, too - until I tried. But as I was having serious problems with BD2009 and Windows 7 Professional, I tried with the 2010 version. I successfully deleted the file from the system32 folder (after running the command…

  • I did check for the scan actitivy bar setting in basic, standard and expert view - it was disabled in all three modes. I checked, applied and unchecked the checkbox in all of the three modes. I doubt that it will prevent the bug from bugging me again... Booted up my system a minute ago and... voilà - there is the scan…

  • I'm having this problem since it appeared this spring when upgrading to BitDefender Antivirus 2009. It happened on two different Computers - both with Vista Business SP1. As a benefit of my access to the Microsoft Developer Network I do now have a fresh and clean install of Windows 7 Professional. Because I was having…
