Bitdefender total security one-click optimizer scan results discrepancy in version 27.0.38.163

Hi everyone,

After my bitdefender total security updated to version 27.0.38.163 the "one-click optimizer" incorrectly shows the scan results after running the optimizer.

It first shows that it will delete about 13 items, 7 junk files and 6 privacy files, yet when after having ran the optimizer it shows a total of 11 items removed and 0 remaining. It shows in the detailed report 13 items removed. Sometimes when running the optimizer it shows 8 items removed even when it had removed 13 items.

This results discrepancy is only happening since the update to version 27.0.38.163 and never happened before.

I've informed support about this issue.

    Hi everyone,

    I received an update from support about this issue:

    "As mentioned previously on the ticket, a fix for this Bitdefender behavior is still undergoing development. We do not have an estimated time for the release of the fix yet, but we will contact you as soon as it's implemented by an automatic update of Bitdefender. Please keep in mind that all reported bugs require investigation time. Since product updates are usually released once a month it may take at least 1 month until a fix is implemented in the product - this does not include the debugging period."

    I'll let you all know when it is fixed.
