Conflicting Scan Schedules
I just installed the Bitdefender software on the first device, a Windows PC, and it is all new to me.
Today's question: I have set up a full System Scan at 0300 on Monday. I have Quick Scan scheduled Daily. Since there is no setting for which days a Daily scan is scheduled, which one will take priority on Monday morning? Will both scans try to run at the same time?
Thanks.

Hello @eelkes
It sounds like you edited the Quick Scan option at the bottom of the Antivirus/ Scans window, where you can set it to run daily, correct?
If you wanted to, I would disable that and create a Custom Quick Scan, which would help to offset those scan times, as I think both would end up in scanning just at different times, which would be a bit of scanning overkill ;) :) But, that's up to you :)
Remember, Bitdefender's real time protection, online protection, and on access scanning protection do provide background security as well.
From this link:
Bitdefender Shield, the real-time protection feature included in our security software, provides continuous protection against a wide range of malware threats by scanning all accessed files and e-mail messages. The default real-time protection settings ensure good protection against malware, with a minor impact on system performance. Bitdefender will, for example, scan a Word document for known threats when you open it, and an e-mail message when you receive one.
Kind regards.

Scott,
Thanks for your quick response.
You are correct, I did edit the Quick Scan.
I had wanted to create a Custom Quick Scan, but could not find the parameters for the built-in Quick Scan to take my settings from.
Thanks, again.

Hi again, @eelkes :)
You're welcome :)
To find those or System Scan parameters, after it's run (you can even stop it after 10-20 seconds just to get a log) click on the BD main UI (Dashboard) left side, Notifications/All/ and tick the down arrow next to the scan, then View log. Then tick the drop down arrows for Targeted threat types, and Scan options which will provide that information.
I haven't created a Custom scan in a long time, so I'm not sure of what you can enable. If you do create a Quick Scan, just name it My Quick scan, or something like that, as BD will tell you it already exists.
Cheers.
