How to disable Bitdefender vulnerability scan.

Bitdefender vulnerability.scan.exe is locking my Host file so I can not open it to edit it.

I have tried shutting it off in the Bitdfender GUI, I have tried rebooting, I have tried killing hte process in Task Manager, but nothing stops the vulnerability scan from locking the file and preventing me from opening it or even deleting it.

What steps do I need to take to stop this from preventing me from editing my Host file?

This is weird that switching off the vulnerability scan does not work. Have you tried disabling the hosts file scan?

Those did not help fix the problem. Tried to contact BD support. I am waiting for some kind of reply from them with a solution.

Very frustrating not being able to access your own files.

If the above steps did not help you, then the last resort will be to contact support, which you have already done. Kindly wait for their reply. The support team will respond to your query within the next 24-48 hours, excluding weekends.
