Netgear Armor by Bitdefender vs. Bitdefender Premium Security

I have had Netgear Armor by Bitdefender since I bought my Orbi RB50, and now, when I thought I was renewing Armor, I seem to have also subscribed to Bitdefender Premium Security. Do I need both of these services? What, if anything, is the difference between them?

    To add here, the answer to your question is technically "no." Netgear Armor provides network-level security, while Bitdefender Premium Security focuses on individual device protection. However, having both offers a more layered security approach.

    • Netgear Armor: Protects your entire home network and any device connected to it.
    • Bitdefender Premium Security: Provides additional protection for individual devices when they're not on your home network (e.g., using public Wi-Fi).

    Additionally, Netgear Armor includes Bitdefender Total Security as part of its subscription.

  • Thanks. Since Armor includes Bitdefender Total Security, then the principal differences seems to be 1) VPN data encryption without a cap (Bitdefender) vs. VPN with a data cap (Armor), and 2) Bitdefender Premium includes a password manager. I'll probably let one of them lapse when the time comes.
