I did, but I can't locate the 2nd file. The volume one. Are password protected files hidden sometimes?

Password protected files are not hidden by default. However, there are some scenarios where it might appear that they are hidden. If the files are located in a hidden directory or have a hidden attribute set by the operating system, they won't be visible in the file explorer unless you change the settings to show hidden files. Also, if a file becomes corrupted during the encryption or password protection process, it might not display correctly or appear hidden.
