I also have an HP laptop and have never faced any issues with Bitdefender causing Wi-Fi connectivity problems. To check, you can disable all the features of your Bitdefender product and see if the issue is resolved. To temporarily disable protection features in your Bitdefender product, kindly check the link provided below.

If the issue persists, you will need to contact HP support. However, if the issue is resolved, it may or may not be an issue on Bitdefender's end, in which case troubleshooting will be needed, and you will need to contact Bitdefender support.

Kindly contact Bitdefender support by visiting https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help

  • Hello @hoosier_lv,

    I have two questions here:

    1. Did you notice this behavior after installing Bitdefender?
    2. Are you using the Bitdefender VPN when this happens?

    Thanks!

We have noticed the connectivity issues after getting Bitdefender, but the laptop was slow before. The connectivity issues will happen when we use VPN or not. We don't use Bitdefender's VPN though.

It does happen when Bitdefender is turned off or the features are turned off, also.

If the issue persists, although you mentioned that the problem happens with and without Bitdefender active on your device, and it was noticed before installing the antivirus software, I would still recommend to contact the Support teams and maybe provde them with connectivity logs that would hopefully reveal the the root cause. You can use the link below to get in touch with them:

State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.

Let us know how it goes and what worked for you.
