Hello,
I think the quarantine is what makes the situation unclear... that is, the file was in the quarantine folder on the old drive when Bitdefender detected it? If so, it is normal for it to be password protected, as the files in the quarantine are encrypted. But then I think it wouldn't have detected it with its correct name, and with the quarantine file name, so I must say it's a bit confusing. Here's more context on the password protected items, but I'm not sure if this actually helps you in any way. I think what you are experiencing there requires a more detailed investigation and advised opinion, so maybe it would be a good idea to contact the Bitdefender Support teams regarding this, if nobody else has an insightful opinion on this..
Should you decide to get in touch with the Bitdefender engineers to investigate this further, here's the link where you can reach them:
State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.
Let us know how it goes.
