False positive? Malware named gen:variant.giant.lazy.129
Hello,
There is an electric guitar amplifier software called Marcuriall Ampbox. I had this installed in my pc (windows 10) about a month ago, no problems. Yesterday, out of the blue bitdefender deleted the .exe file of this software because it says is infected with the gen:variant.giant.lazy.129 virus/malware. I've performed a couple in depth system scans and found no malware. I've scanned with Bitdefender this file also this file prior to the installation and it says is clear, still though bitdefender keeps deleting the app extension and as a result I cannot run the software.
Any opinions on the matter? I've spend a considerable amount of money for this software and have used it just fine so far without any issues. Is it likely the treat is a false positive? Many thanks
