Parental control cant add profile date of birth earlier than today's date in 2008

I have tried over and over to create a profile in Parental Control for one of my children, but Bitdefender doesn't allow you to use a date of birth prior to todays date in 2008. Is this a bug that Bitdefender isn't aware of or do they only allow parental monitoring of children under 16?

Hello,

By default, Parental Control considers children only people under 16 years of age, therefore you cannot select a birth date prior to 2008.
