Hi there !

i could not find a way to write in this category so plz guide me to do so , and i ve chosen the right option then plz mention it.thx
All of the above The offline installer of Bitdefender Total Security should be available & highlighted in the download options on bitdefedner's website.
Here is Why :
i got hell of online attacks right after the clean installation of win 10 pro via edge browser , i had to use ms.edge to download other browsers or a bitdefender. it can be attached to the central right after it takes control of the pc.

  • Hello @Rock.87,

I have now moved the thread to the relevant subcategory.

But I don't quite understand what do you mean by 'offline installer' and 'all of the above'. Bitdefender cannot be installed offline, it requires an internet connection so you can access your account. However, you can update the threat definitions offline:

Based on the file you've attached, I think that is a certificate detection and not an attack per se..

i got three red dots of alert which drove me to this single answer, why?
There is not offline installer ? bitdefender needs it to be installed right after the clean installation of windows even without an internet. it can be attached in central later.
plz answer about this important question too:

So, you basically got subsequent notifications for the same threat. When you expanded the notification to view the details, the trigger was most probably the same for all of them. Correct, there's no offline installer. Bitdefender needs an internet connection to link with the account service, so it can draw its validity and configuration from there, otherwise even if you would install it on the device offline, it would be of no use, if it's not actually active and protecting that device. Thus you would still have to go online to use it anyway, my point being, what's the point of an offline installer? 🙂

I have replied on your other thread too, but I'm unsure if I can be of any help there, since the situation you have described has many variables and I can only make assumptions on what happened, I cannot say for sure, especially because a 3rd party app was used to unistall the VPN service. But I'm pretty sure that the other issue you've encountered has to do with a faulty keyboard and not a virus. Bitdefender would have detected it in this scenario, if all its defenses are up and running.

Today i got 69 Critical alerts about ms.edge even edge was blocked in auto start of the win 10 pro's latest version. Alerts under Critical category can't be ignored as those alert can lead to a great security risks , am i right ?

I believe I've identified the root cause of the issue: CloudFlare DNS was enabled in Microsoft Edge's settings under Privacy, Search, and Services > Security > Use Secure DNS. After removing CloudFlare and either using the default DNS provider or disabling Secure DNS altogether (with or without Bitdefender VPN), the alerts disappeared.
in the highlighted squared section the cluodflare dns was mentioned along with chrome name , why there was chrome name there in edge ?

It seems that CloudFlare has compatibility issues with Bitdefender VPN's Russian virtual location. Even when using the VPN, accessing forums with a Russian IP address is blocked.

I'm now able to use Edge without any alerts. I'm sharing this information in case it helps others. Please keep an eye on this issue and let me know if there are any further steps I should take.
