Bdagent.exe task failing on Windows 10
When using the Task Scheduler in Win 10 today (for something unrelated to BD) I noticed that there was a bitdefender task that was failing. It was looking to start bdagent.exe and the error was that the file couldn't be found. It was looking for the agent in the "Bitdefender Security" folder. I verified that there was indeed no bdagent.exe file there; I found the bdagent.exe file in the "Bitdefender Security App" folder (and it was running, although not via a scheduled task from what I could see). My guess is the task is a 'leftover' from a previous version of BD where the agent was in that location (I've been running it on this PC since around 2019). My questions: since the task will always fail as currently written, and the bdagent.exe is apparently now started through some other mechanism, can I just delete the task? What is the current method used for starting the bdagent (in the new location)? From a security standpoint I never like to leave 'junk' tasks/processes around when I find them so I'd like to disable or delete the guaranteed-to-fail task (to prevent exploit in the future should some bad actor stick a malicious bdagent.exe file in that location).
