Port Scan Exception: Can it be set to an IP on my home network only?

Problem: The security firewall router on my home network does security scans of devices to check for open ports. This triggers a Port Scan blocked in BitDefender, and that cuts off the Internet, because the address blocked is my DHCP server.

Solution w Bitdefender: I could add the IP of my router as an exception in Bitdefender. But won't that end up being an exception on any network that I connect to? Or is there a way to have Bitdefender tell which network it's connect too and have the exception work only on that network?

Solution w router: if I reserve an IP for my computer, I can tell the router to skip scanning it. That looks like it's working, but I wonder about the other approach. Or this the more secure approach?
