Can You Hide The Bd Antiphishing Toolbar In Ie8 Without Disabling It?

I just got Win 7, and BD AV 2011 for it. In IE8 the AntiPhishing toolbar takes up an inch of my screen, with nothing but that one button on it, and I'd like to hide it, but keep the add-on running.

So, is there anyway to remove or hide the AntiPhishing toolbar, without disabling the add-on? Every time I try to uncheck it from the toolbars list, it asks if I really want to disable it... no, I just don't want to see the button and toolbar. I'm a big fan of less clutter.

  • Hi James,

No, you can not hide the Antiphishing toolbar, you can only disable it.

    I swear I searched before I posted...didn't see that.

In that post it says the idea will be forwarded... I really hope a change comes along that allows that bar to be hidden and yet have the add-on still work.

I'd rather have things even like the favorites bar as a menu on the tabs portion, and get rid of that also, just like I disable every UI element I can in games... I want to see my app/game with the least clutter possible.

  • Well, it was over in the 2010 product forum, which may be why you didn't find it. Both the 2010 & 2011 products work the same way as far as the toolbar is concerned.

  • I have escalated your request to the Developing team. To be honest I do not know when the changes will be applied however I will let you all know via forum.

  • Thanks, Daniel. Several of us on the forums would appreciate it. :)
