What Is Realtime Protection Doing?

Just installed and ran BD for Mac. Took 32 hours to get through all my files on all my drives, over two terabytes worth of data. 89 viruses found and eliminated. COOL! So now I have Realtime protection enabled and when I have the "Statistics" tab highlighted in the Realtime panel there is a window that just keeps scrolling file paths. What does this mean? Do I need to let this run? Is it going to re-scan all 2+ TB of info? Any info on what this is doing and what I need to do in response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Bruce

    Hello,

Please provide me with a screenshot of the 'Statistics' window you are referring to. Also I would recommend you - considering the amount of data to be scanned - to add several exclusions for certain extensions so the scan will go faster: add the following extensions:

    - .mp3

    - .mp4

    - .wav

    - .avi

    - .mkv

    - .mpg

    - .jpg

    - .jpeg

    Also enclose the following info:

    - BitDefender product and version you are using

    - Operating System

    - PC architecture

[How to create a screen shot]

On Windows, press the Print Screen or Prnt Scrn key on your keyboard, found at the upper right of the keyboard. This key will capture the entire screen. Open up your paint program -click on "Start-> All Programs-> Accessories-> Paint".

In the paint program, select File/New, then Edit/Paste. Then save the file and attach it to this topic.
