Automatic Update Does Not Automatically Update

Hi,

I have two questions and would be glad if anyone answered one or both :-)

I am using Bitdefender AV 2010.

I always have to initiate the update manually to remove the nagging AV warning.

How can I tell AV to update automatically without having to initiate this manually, if I can do this at all?

Update refuses to update if "game mode" is on.

Is there a way to stop "game mode" from update window, or do I have to change window everytime to stop game mode :( ?

Thank you

    Hello,

First of all, you are in the 2011 forum. You should have posted this in the 2010 forums. Second, it's normal not to update in the Game Mode, that's why it's called a Game Mode: to allow you to play without interruptions. To remove that option you need to open BitDefender in Expert View then go to the Update tab. There uncheck the box: Do not Update automatically if Game Mode is on.

Please provide me with your PC details: RAM memory and processor type and frequency. Simply right click on the My Computer and select Properties. In the new window you will see the details I am asking you about. You can make a screenshot and attach it to this topic.

[How to create a screen shot]

On Windows, press the Print Screen or Prnt Scrn key on your keyboard, found at the upper right of the keyboard. This key will capture the entire screen. Open up your paint program -click on "Start-> All Programs-> Accessories-> Paint".

In the paint program, select File/New, then Edit/Paste. Then save the file as JPG format and attach it to this topic in your reply.

    Kind regards,
