For the first time we see that the firewall of BitDefender is at the top of Firewall Challenge: http://www.matousec.com/projects/proactive...nge/results.php

In one word, i say congratulation to BitDefender with this version of 2011.

For helping BitDefender engineers to improve BitDefender 2011 Firewall, this note is important in the last test:

"Although BitDefender passes many tests it is questionable whether it can protect common users against malware.

The problem with BitDefender is that in case of many techniques it gives absolutely no information about what is going on. Just a simple Allow/Block pop-up window is displayed without any details about the action to be blocked.

Moreover, “blocking an action” with BitDefender actually terminates the offending process instead of blocking the particular action. This also lowers the effectiveness of BitDefender's protection."
