Bd Internet Security Vs. Basic Windows 7 64bit Maintenance Tasks ?

When performing normal Windows maintenance/security tasks...ie...backup - defraging - system image backup...etc...do you recommend stopping anything IN BDISW 2011 or just leaving BDIS as is during these type of operations ?


Any issues know for maintenance/security tasks in Win 7 and Bitdefender running at same time ?

    Hi Tim,


    Considering your query please keep in mind that:


    - Restore should be done in Windows Safe mode;


    - Defrag should be performed either from within BitDefender or you can keep BDIS as it is, it won't interfere in any way


    - back-up can also be done with BD running


    However for an extra layer of security you can disable the Real Time Protection module while performing a system restore / backup.
