Bitdefender Internet Security 2011

I have tried and tried to solve this problem. I am no computer genius but I can follow directions. Support hasn't solved it. My computer shuts down every time I run a scan. Tired of spending endless hours on it. Very frustrated. Last time I contacted support I didn't even get a response.

    I have done that and in fact just did do and it still shuts down the computer. And no offense but why should I have to scan in safe mode. This product should work as it claims it will.

    The reason why you can't scan is because you upgraded to 2011 and installed it over the old version, BitDefender 2008. That is also the reason - as you also mention in your email - why you see on top of the BitDefender Security Center saying BitDefender 2008 and not 2011.

    It is not resolved after following steps in email. I replied to the email with my results over a week ago and have heard nothing. Seriously can I just have a refund?
