New User Has Question Re System Info

Options

Hi, I downloaded bitdefender trial version yesterday, after trialling some others which slowed my system down too much, and so far bitdefender looks good.

Under general /system info it shows Current Sytem Settings; i would like to get a print out of these so i can go through and see if there is anything i don't need loading itself. Is there any way to print the expanded list out?

Thanks

    Hello,

    Welcome on our Forums ! Be kindly informed that it's not possible to print any of the settings within BitDefender however you can use a free tool to generate an autorun entry and not only. A tool like this is provided by Microsoft and it is called "Autoruns". If that's OK with you, I will need a log generated using the above mentioned tool.

    Please follow the steps below and send us the result:

    a) Please go to this page:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx

    and download the autoruns file.

    B) Extract the contents of the downloaded file and run the 'autoruns.exe' file;

    c) Wait for the list to be filled with all the processes and then make sure that you have the Everything tab selected in the upper part;

    d) Click on the Disk icon right under File and chose any location folder on your computer;

    e) Save the file with a specific name (your name, computer name, a random name, which one you want) and then just upload it HERE or HERE.

    f) When you have the log file and the download link, send me a PM (Private Message) and you'll have an answer back as soon as the analysis will be complete.

    Looking forward to your answer!

    Hello,

    Finished analyzing the logs you've sent. The analysis have the following results:

    - traces of Norton Antivirus on the PC:

    Norton AntiVirus - Mum - Full System Scan.job            File not found: C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\Engine\16.5.0.134\Navw32.exe /L

    - PC-Tools installed on the PC:

    pctfw2    PC Tools TDI Driver    PC Tools    c:\windows\system32\drivers\pctfw2.sys

    Use the Uninstall tool from Norton from the link below:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=21845

    Make sure you also run the Uninstall tool from BitDefender:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

    Save the file on your PC and when the download is complete right click on it and select "Run as Administrator". Click on Uninstall then WAIT TO BE ASKED to restart the PC. Restart it when you have run the Norton uninstall tool, BitDefender Uninstall tool AND uninstalling PC-Tools using Add/Remove Programs in Windows Control Panel.

    After restart try to install BitDefender again and let me know if the BSOD still occurs.

    Looking forward to your answer!
