Skipped Files Needs To Be Scanned After A New Virus Set Definition
auto scan as specified by the Bitdefender help tool is not scanning all the files over and over again. It has a database which has the last scan date. when the file is modified after the last scan it is getting scanned. But my question is what will happen to files that resides in the computer without me opening it ( or getting executed) and becomes a virus after a new virus definition is released?
I noted the files scanned by auto scan by opening Resource monitor and watching the files accessed by Vsserv.exe process in disk usage tab.
Shouldn't be that database cleared after the new variant of virus is detected and virus definition is released? so that the files are again scanned for the new variant.?
