Excluding Internet Explorer

Hi All

Just wanted to throw a question out there for some healthy debate.

I have been advised by BitDefender that I should add Internet Explorer to the list of exluded files and processes in order to improve browsing performance.

I have never had to do this with other antivirus packages before - and I am dubious about doing this as does this not leave the internet explorer program open to attack?

Incidentally - i did add IE to the exclusions list and my web browsing speed returned to normal.

So my question is - Is this a safe practice - to add IE to the excluded files and processes list?

Cheers

Rod.

Some processes can be added to the exclusion lists. That file won't be scanned by our engine.

Do you have the latest version of IE? Have you tried another browser?

    Thank you.
