Windows Doesn't Work With Bitdefender Installed
I recently had a few problems with BitDefender Internet Security 2011, so I followed the instructions you gave me here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=32480
Everything was going fine (the BSOD never occurred again), but last week I started having serious difficulties with starting Windows. It simply doesn't work: it appears to be initiating but suddenly, instead of my desktop, I just see a dark background and the cursor - and nothing more happens even if I wait a few hours, which makes me force the computer to shut down. The only way I have access to my files is through the security mode.
I first thought it was something about the computer being weak, but then the same thing happened in my notebook. The only thing both computers have in common is basically BitDefender, so I unistalled it to see what happened, and since then this problem hasn't happened again. This makes me reckon that it is the antivirus that is causing this problem, and that's why I opened this thread. I'd love to find a solution quick because I really need to work, and without an antivirus things can become ugly.
