Skipped Items In Full Scan

Hi Christian... I ran a full system scan today and noticed that the log showed 52,855 'skipped items'. I was just wondering what sort of items are skipped by the scan.

    Hello :)

We have a cache for know files an processes. For example, Windows files, file signed digitally or from know application. If these files were scanned in the past and declare clean(by Auto Scan or during a previous Full System Scan), these are automatically skipped in the next scan.

In this way the scan is a lot faster and in the future when the Smart Cache stored locally on your PC will be populated with all know clean files, the scan will take minutes :)

Don't worry about new definitions that revoke the clean status of know files, the cache is automatically cleared when such definition is pushed on our servers.

Let me know if you have other questions.

    Take care.

    Hi Omer :)

I almost forgot about that talk.

Yes, all the information is in that topic.

In this case, I declare this topic closed.

    Have a great weekend!
