Bdc Memory Scans

Hi,

I've been using BitDefender for quite a while and am currently looking for a way to automate the scanning process.

Previous posts around here mentioned bdc.exe, the command-line equivalent to BitDefender's full-fledged GUI.

I want to include a memory scan during my scheduled scan (in addition to /files), but although several posts previously mentioned the option "/memory", it seems to be doing nothing (output is identical with or without it) and is not mentioned in the built-in help ("/?").

Any way to perform a memory scan using bdc.exe?

I understand that its possible to set scheduled scans using the GUI, but I prefer a solution using BDC since it should be combined in a larger, more complicated ******.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

  • Hi Eric :)

You can find all the parameters for the command line scanner with:

    bdc.exe /?

The location for this file is:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender Threat Scanner\Antivirus_XXXXX_XXXX

where XXXXX_XXXX are some random numbers that are changed after each update.

    Take care.
