Bdis2013 Scanning Individual Items Options

Does it matter re the quality/depth/thoroughness of say the "Windows" main folder or 'Downloads' main folder running as follows if you:


1) "Right click" on the Windows folder in Explorer and select Bitdefender/'Scan with BitDefender' ? or,


2) Set up a 'custom scan' in the Bitdefender system console to scan only the Windows Folder on demand ?


Is there any difference in how the scan is run in the 2 above options of running a "contextual scan" ?

    Hello :)


    There are some differences between contextual scan and custom scans.


    The first one will not take exclusions in consideration(normal action for this type of scan) and it will prompt you password protected items and the second one will scan also scan memory and other locations if you do not removed them from the task.


    The depth is not important, all the subfolders and items will be scanned, not matter the scanning profile.
