Error Message After Un Installing Bitdefender
I bought a licensed copy of Bit Defender 2012 recently for 3 machines.
I have had to un install it from my main PC because it slowed my system down at times and wanted to scan everything in sight. Files would hang after clicking on them, and become unresponsive, MSOffice files particulaly.
I tried exclusions of files and programs, but that didn't really help, so I uninstalled it and now when my system loads the desktop after a reboot, I get an error message saying 'Failed to initialize the environment'.
So what is left of Bitdefender to make or bring up that error message?
Anyone?

I uninstalled Bitdefender from Programs and Features in Windows 7 Control Panel, which left the said error message appearing.
From your post I downloaded some of the programs from the link ( I already had the others) and ran them , with a reboot at the end of each one.
Yest still the same error message appears. I don't know specifically it is referring to except I only know it appears due to BitDefender being uninstalled. So because of that I don't really know what I am looking for in the list of startup programs.
I have Runscanner open now and can't see any reference to Bitdefender.0
