    Hi knagsted :)

Are you talking about Autoscan, that is running when your PC has been idle for awhile? http://www.bdantivirus.com/bitdefender/ant....scan.auto.html

Or, when you start your PC and Windows loads, is BD trying to run a scan?

You can check Events/Antivirus, and see what was occurring at the time of this issue. Otherwise, if you can duplicate the issue, a screen shot of the notification or what BD is doing at the time, could help us. i.e. Print Screen, edit image to show notification.

    Thank you :)

    Hi Columbo

Is when I turn the Pc on that the scan begins (not every time) on a black screen and BD writes with big letters that it is scanning my Pc and that it can't solve the problem and recommend me to contact support. Then Windows (7 64 bit) starts normally.

    Hi knagsted,

Please tell me if you still need help with this issue.

  • Why should duplicate files confuse BD so that it thinks it needs a boot-time scan? And then claim that it cannot fix what is apparently a non-existing problem?

This needs to be addressed. There are other users in the "General" section that have their PC stuck forever in the boot-time scan and cannot get into Windows.
