How Can I Remove ' System Progressive Protection '
Hi,
I have the virus 'System Progressive Protection' on my Windows 7 computer. A full system scan with Bitdefender did not find or remove it as far as I can make out because when I click on "start", I can see 'System Progressive Protection' listed.
I used the search on this forum and on the Bitdefender screen and could not find help on how to get rid of it. I posted/logged my problem with Bitdefender's support and Bitdefender gathered information from my computer and sent it off on 11/01/2013 but, apart from the automatic response e-mail logging my problem, I’ve not heard anything yet. From my own past experience this is ‘business as usual’ for the Bitdefender support department, it can take weeks for them to respond after many chasings and even then I expect the standard not useful e-mails from them because they don’t seen to read the customer’s e-mails/comments. Sorry for being so negative but I’m going on my own past experience with them.
So here I am hoping that someone out there have the solution. Is there a way I can use Bitdefender to remove this virus or not ? Any pointers would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

Please don’t buy Bitdefender for it’s “good” or “fast” support, it is sloooooooow to nonexistent. " />
I went onto Bitdefender chat in the hope of getting someone that can help . . . when will I learn. I got an Indian using a western name (I know this because he used his real name in his e-mail!!!) that took me through the standard information gathering exercise but nothing since.
This is how fast Bitdefender support is. Today is 16/01/2013 so forget about 48 hour support !!!
11/01/2012 I logged the problem via Bitdefender on the infected machine and sent off their scan report.
To date I’ve only received the automatic e-mail with a ticket/reference number.
14/01/2012 I logged the problem using Chat and e-mailed them the scan results as requested.
To date I’ve only received the automatic e-mail with a new ticket/reference number.
14/01/2012 I again logged the problem via Bitdefender on the infected machine in the hope someone will actually look at it.
To date I’ve only received the automatic e-mail with another new ticket/reference number.
Looking on Google I see that I’m not the first one with this problem and they had the same problem, slow NO support. I assume Bitdefender can’t be bothered to fix this problem because there aren’t any postings on how to fix it, against their postings.
My assumption is that the Indians log/process the error requests and they then queue up somewhere to be investigated a month or so later (if you are lucky) by a knowledgeable person.
Well so much for wanting to keep customers. They must just remember that a bad reputation sticks.0
