Wireless Printer Problem

I am running windows xp media center. I started using Bitdefender antivirus plus 2013 about a week ago. I'm having a problem with my wireless printer. When I install Bitdefender 2013 everything works fine, including my wireless printer. (Brother mfc-845cw) After rebooting my computer to finish installing updates, I can no longer print. I just get a document failed to print message. I have tried using exclusions. Since Bitdefender 2013 does not have a firewall, I am still using windows firewall, which worked fine before. The techs have not solved the problem so far. Any help would be appreciated. Larry
