Startup Scan

I am currently running Bitdefender 2013 Total Security. I was reading in the PDF manual file that when I startup my computer, BD goes out and gets the latest updates, and then rechecks every hour or so, this is good. I also notice that after a few minutes I get a popup in the lower right side of the screen saying that BD is doing a scan etc. If I move the mouse or something, the scan seems to stop, and when I stop MY activity, the scan seems to start again. This is probably just a QUICK scan, as I have not timed it ??

Is there a way to turn this startup scan off, if I wanted to ?? Thanks, Mike

Hi,

You may turn "Autorun" off, although there is no reason for that.
