E-mail: 15 Days Left To Offer Bd Antivirus To Friends

Hi Bitdefender,

I have just received an e-mail from you, inviting me to offer a license key to three friends. The e-mail and links looked legit: the sender is Bitdefender [bitdefender@connect.bitdefender.com] and the links are all starting with https://connect.bitdefender.com....

I have BD IS2013 running and it didn't flag the e-mail or contents.

Before I actually went ahead and send it to friends, I tried to open the link to the software but I get a 404 error.

This is the entire hyperlink:

https://connect.bitdefender.com/pub/cc?_ri_...Lt6yxp662UpTOGM.

It sends me to

http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...rp_rid=10052768

and this returns a 404 error.

First of all, is this e-mail indeed legit and sent to me from Bitdefender?

If so, why do I get a 404 error?

    Hi alt1579 :)

I believe it is legit: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=174842 I don't know if it was coincidence, but I received the first notice about a day after I filled out a BD pop up questionnaire.

The link in first email I received to use within 30 days, still works. It seems something was corrupted in the follow up (15 days left) link/notice as I get the same error as you, in clicking on the link. I found that if I copied and pasted the address in the email, into the browser address bar, worked

Hi and thank you for both for your feedback. :)

The links and the license keys are legit, it's our loyalty campaign. We are sorry about the inconvenience and we invite you to access the link below to download and install Bitdefender Internet Security 2013:
