Trojan Heur2

Hi,

I clicked on a document in an email I had received and Bitdefender flashed up a warning. I checked the log in antivirus and it listed

Gen Trojan.Heur2 but said it had not been removed and was still in my computer. The help button sent me to a page to download a

temporary file cleaner,this I did and ran it.

I restarted the computer and did a full system scan with Bitdefender and it reported no problems other that some tracking cookies.

My question is can I be sure that the Trojan has been removed and why could Bitdefender not do this in the first place.
