How To Test Parental Control Is Working?

Hi,

I've installed BitDefender on my son's laptop using the Administrator account and switched on parental control. I've then gone onto MyDefender, added a profile for my son and chosen the devices for his PC. So far so good. However....

1) When I log in on the laptop to his account, I haven't found myself being blocked at all.

2) Although my son's account is a Standard user, I can simply open BitDefender and switch Parental Control to OFF. Surely that's not right?!?!

How can I test this installation, as right now it doesn't seem to be working at all.

Please make sure to restart Windows before allowing your son to login to his Windows account. Do not just log out from the Admin account. Restart Windows.

If the policies still do not apply, I would recommend following carefully all the instructions available in this kb:

Thanks Georgia. It looks like the problem is actually to do with the fact that this is a domain user, not a local user. The devices offered were only the local users. So far I've not managed to get the domain user account to be offered in MyBitdefender. I raised the issue of whether domain accounts were actually supported with parental control in a support ticket last week but I'm still awaiting a response.
