Limited Access To Features When Activate With Old License

Hello there,


I used to buy many licenses and using them for many years, some of them were not being used yet. I am able to use the old license which is still valid to activate on the newer version of the bitdefender internet security. However, today i found out that i cannot access to parental control feature with mybitdefender account, all the funtions are disable.


Every time when i change the setting it asked me to upgrade. is it because i am using the old license to activate on newer version, so some features will not work. I have tried to register with a bitdefender 2014 license and all the features for parental control are working fine. I am wondering if it is ok to exchange the license? because my license still valid for more than 300days. Please advise. Thank in advanced.


PS: Please let me know which license from previous version of bitdefender that can activate all the features on the newest version of bitdefender. For example, can i use license from bitdefender 2008 or version 10 to activate and enable all features on newest bitdefender version or i have to use license from bitdefender 2010/2011/2012/2013 to activate in order to have all the features.

    This sounds like a job for Georgia, or Support. What I'm pretty sure of is that the versions prior to 2012, used a 10 "digit" license key which was then was switched over to a 7 "digit" key starting in 2012. So if you're trying to activate any unused license prior to 2012, may have problems in that regard and would need Tech Support/Support help.


    Maybe if you narrowed it down a bit, as far as exactly what year of unused license(s) you're trying to activate (as you know, don't post the keys on the forum), may help Georgia.

    And who knows, maybe unused EOL licenses are toast, or not fully functional??

    To resolve this matter, the Bitdefender Commercial Service must replace the old Bitdefender license keys with new ones.
