My Bitdefender Error

Hello, I cannot register my internet security 2014. When I tried to activate, the program said "My Bitdefender error. Your internet connection has timed out causing the authentication to fail." But I can connect Mybitdefender via web browser and the detail shows my license key and also my time left. How can I activate my program? Now my program is still trial version.

    Welcome to the Bitdefender forums.


    Be advised that Bitdefender is using Internet Explorer behind during the registration process. Therefore, we need to make sure this browser is updated and fully functional, as follows:


    1) Make sure you have at least Internet Explorer v.8 or update your browser by downloading and installing this version from Microsoft:

    2) Now hit the Update Now button in Bitdefender, then try again to register the license key.


    3) If the registration error persists click to the Start button > Run > type ncpa.cpl in the dialog box and hit Enter on the keyboard. Right-click on your Internet connection (Local Area Connection, Wireless Area Connection, etc.) and go to Properties. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) entry, in the new window put a checkmark under: Obtain DNS server address automatically and hit OK.


    Some Internet Service Providers are using only Manual DNS Settings. If this is the case, please select the option Use the following DNS Server addresses and fill in the Preferred and Alternate DNS Servers provided by your ISP.


    4) Update again Bitdefender and check if the license key is correctly validated now.

    Hello, again.


    I followed everything as suggested. Also, I uninstalled and re-installed my bitdefender few times. But the problem still exists. I can connect my bitdefender via web browser and renew the license key so it shows the license key and time left. However, I still cannot registered and activated via the program. Now the program has only 15 days left.
