I recently installed Bitdefender Total Security 2014 on a brand new Dell laptop running 64-bit Windows 7. Even more recently I uninstalled BTS 2014 (following Bitdefender instructions, including using the uninstall tool) and installed BTS 2015. Seems to work for the most part, but I am unable to create a custom scan task. Usually the app hangs at the first dialog. Occasionally it gets as far as generating an actual error message and phoning home.
Anyone else seeing anything like this and figured out the resolution? Is there a human-readable error log
somewhere that might give me some clues? I am setting up a new laptop for someone and frankly I'm am
one more error message away from returning the product. Any help gratefully received. Thanks
