Want To Downgrade To Bis 2013

I have just upgraded from BIS 2013 to BIS 2015

- Is there a tutorial/youtube (or PDF file) that might tell me how to use BIS 2015 ?

- disappointed in the "new" look, just like going from Widows 7 to Windows 8 ... A DISASTER!

- I don't have days to spare learning the new "toy"

How do I manually update?

Where is the update progress bar ?

There is a black circle with a revolving blue line

- what is it doing?

- updating ? or scanning ?

- if updating how do I stop the update ?

- if it is an update how do I monitor the progress ?

I want to update when it suits me, not when BIS thinks I should.

Updating slowed this laptop to a snails pace with 2012 and 2013

- so I manually updated each day

Where do I find screenshots of BIS 2014 ?

- I might have to consider downgrading until my subscription runs out.

Where would I find an uninstaller for BIS-2015. ?

- the The_New_Bitdefender_UninstallTool ... implies BIS 2013.

- I want to do a very clean install of 2013/2014

My experience is that uninstalling 2015 from Programs and Features in the Control Panel is specific for that version and will remove it completely, just ensure that you read the windows as you go through and uncheck the "Install 60 second virus scanner" in one of them.

Also, from the Start>All programs>Bitdefender>Uninstall will take you to the same place.

Updates are going to take 39.7 hours at approx <20KB/s

- while all other downloads will run at 800KB/s to 1.2MB/s

- other rig runs updates at 1.2MB/s

I used Revouninstaller to uninstall BIS-2015 (which runs the "Uninstall.exe" in BIS-2015)

- the "60 Second Bitdefender AntiVirus" option is a separate "option" after commiting to either complete removal or remove for clean re-install

- but atleast I could option "out" of installing "60 Second Bitdefender AntiVirus"

Checked registry (manual search for Bitdefender)

- obviously MRU lists contained "Bitdefender" paths

THEN all these registry items were still listed after an alleged total uninstall

Cold boot before installing BIS 2014

Once BIS 2014 was installed (offline installer)

- started update

- update was at snails pace 1.6KB/s ... a long time to download 180,446 KB

- my normal download speed is 1.2MB/s

- at 3am I booted the PC again and started "Updates"

- download slow -- after 2 hours I calculated the expected time to complete update as 39.67 hours

- Bitdefender is nagging me that update is overdue ... at almost 40 hours it "IS" going to be overdue [!]

My x64bit rig (BIS-2013) downloads at the rate of approx 1MB/s in peak times.

- at worst a 44,000 KB download is 2 minutes

Originally on another thread I was told BIS-2015 was the solution.

- BIS 2015 added 80% to usual startup time.

- BIS-2015 updating was at best 15KB/s

I am considering downgrading AGAIN to BIS-2013, if I can find an offline installer.

Any thoughts on what is happening to my laptop ?

The only process running during "update" is svhost.exe -k localserviceandnoimpersonation

These problems are enough to drive me to :wacko:
