Malwarebytes Real-time Protection Disabled

Malwarebytes Real-time protection enabled upon start-up and then becomes disabled. Is there an issue with Bitdefender running along with Malwarebytes and if so, is there a fix?

Hello Lakersfan,

Short answer is yes and Bitdefender do not recommend running MBAM alongside it.

Longer answer is that there are those who run the two together, MBAM free as an occasional scan or MBAM Premium live but with exclusions added to both programs.

GUI>Antivirus>Exclusions tab>Files and folders. Add -

• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
  
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamdor.exe
  
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbampt.exe
  
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
  
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamscheduler.exe
  

Go to MBAM and exclude the Bitdefender 2015 folder in the the C:/Program files.
