Complete Dissatisfaction Regarding The Auto-renew Practice

Hello,


I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that Avangate automatically enabled the auto-renew feature after my purchase of TS, without any kind of notification whatsoever.


- there's in no OPT-IN during or after the purchase


- there is no mention of the enabled-by-default auto-renew "feature" whatsoever. There's only a vague reference to its existence (quote: "Manage your subscription payments (auto-renewal), if your product supports such an option")


- I live in France. Under L136-1 of the Consumer Code I must be notified at least 1 month before this tacit renewal (seeing how there was no explicit opt-in). I was notified about auto-renewal thing roughly one week before expiration, meaning you're in direct violation of French consumer law.


I value highly the Bitdefender products and I think this shady business practice has no place in a respectable company.
