Slow Boot + Freeze With Xp-sp3
I am currently testing Build 18.23.0.1604 of BitDefender Security for XP and Vista on a XP-SP3 machine (30-day trial). Not only has the boot significantly slowed down since I installed it, but after several items in the Startup Menu have been activated, the whole system hangs. It's after several attempts of rebooting and going through Safe Mode that I occasionally end up with a successful boot. My firewall is Sygate. Even when I disable it, the defects described are still present.
I abandoned another Antivirus because that one had another type of defect: every access to theWeb through Firefox was very sluggish.
Please advise.
