1. Encoding issue in this sentence:

"Let Bitdefender’s tech geniuses install and configure your antivirus on your PC. Install & Setup is the time-saving service that lets you sit back and relax. "

The & has been interpreted incorrectly.

2. System Repair. The "Buy Now" icon overlaps the text "you back." (this appears to have fixed itself at some point, probably some kind of browser rendering bug)

3. Virus & Spyware Removal and PC Optimizer and title text.

One says "super-secure", the other "ultra-secure" and the top text uses "hyper-secure". Is one really more or less secure than the other? I'm surprised you didn't manage to fit in an "EXTREME-SECURE" in there.

- Only one device ever appears, I've installed it on 3 machines (as per my license) now. Probably similar to this user and their issue:

http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=61591

- Notifications lists issues for machines that no longer exist or have been renamed.

- No way to clear or delete notification list?

- If you create and assign a device "owner", it automatically adds that "owner" to the parental advisor tab. Kinda dumb since the users I added are a) my wife, and b ) my mother in law, neither of which are children.

- If you remove the user from the parental tab, devices that had been assigned a user will display "UNDEFINED" where the user text used to be.

- Only lists one device even though I've installed it on 2.

- I don't want any of the offers, how can I make this go away? (short of using something like greasemonkey)

Bitdefender prevents this site from loading when Scan SSL is enabled (the default on new installs)......

"This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate."

"central.bitdefender.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates. An additional root certificate may need to be imported."

- Consider enabling HTTP compression when transferring your .json or .js pages (eg, GZIP). You have it enabled for .html.

  • ME, TOO!

I am troubled that I've logged into this forum looking for answers to illogical and missing functions in the "Bitdefender Central" interface only to find that some of the issues I am concerned about have been previously noted and completely ignored by Bitdefender for months. The above post is a concise summary of some problematic issues with the Central interface. It appears that no one has even taken the time to acknowledge them.

    - WHY would you add all users to Parental Controls?? That is illogical.

    - Why do Notifications continue tell me my child "Attempted to use the blocked app xxxxx" when the Bitdefender Central interface indicates that the specified app IS NOT blocked?

    - What does "Set Sleep Time" actually do?? I cannot find any information anywhere to tell me specifically what function setting the sleep time accomplishes or impact it has on the actual device!

    - How am I supposed to interpret/intuit the "Interests" page? It says it's intended to be used to "Monitor and block websites visited by your child." Fair enough, but the only functions there are a list of "interest" categories with a checkbox. THERE IS NO INDICATION AS TO EXACTLY WHAT A CHECK MEANS. When I check the box, am I disabling or enabling? Am I enabling/disabling the monitoring or the blocking or both? And, exactly what is included in the the interest category "Blogs" and how is the application identifying/blocking all blogs??? Same questions for "Portals" - definition? In my mind, Google is a portal. Does "Photos Online" include imgur.com and instagram.com?

The almost total absence of documentation for the application and Bitdefender Central is appalling. When you consider how UN-intutitive and NON-sensical the interface is, it becomes an almost useless joke. I reached out to the "Support Team" and they referred me to the faq - WOW! That's incredible support. I'm beginning to think that the purpose of Bitdefender Central is to steer me to buy tech services rather than to assist me in management of multiple systems. The Webroot MyWebrootAnywhere console does a far superior job. If this is the best Bitdefender can do, I need my money back...
