Product Service Agent And Bdwtxag Killing Network Resources

Installed BD 2016 trial on 4/14. Worked great until today. The Product Service Agent and bdwtxag.exe were making connections to amazonaws and using up the majority of network resources and about 1.5 GB of RAM. I couldn't find a way to pause either so I uninstalled the product and am hesitant to reinstall. Advice please.
