Mac os x el capitan installation worked (it says) but doesn't in fact...
Hi,
I'm really unimpressed with a software that doesn't install on the first try... especially on mac. The installation process goes through and everything seems to work. When you close the installation gui box at the end there's a small box opening with a progress bar that goes in a loop when you close it... Tried to restart the mac to no avail. Any ideas?
I speak French & English.

Hello,
That may have been because of a permission issue. Please follow the steps below to resolve the encountered situation :
1. Uninstall Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac
http://www.bitdefender.com/support/-1687.html
Note: remove all the Bitdefender files and folder as shown in the article from above and the previously downloaded .pkg files from the Downloads folder
2. Restart your Mac in Safe Boot it will automatically fix and permission errors
https://support.apple.com/kb/PH14204?locale=en_US
After this, simply restart your Mac without pressing anything else and it will, by default, start in normal mode.
3. Reinstall Bitdefender Antivirus for Mac from your Central account

Thanks Sorin,
I had already re-installed the software and it worked. To me, it's not a permission issue, it's a compiler issue. The developer should go back to their Macs... this is a good exemple of not enough time spent beta testing before an official release. From what I read, lots of peeps experience the exact same issue when installing.

Hello,
The installation requires a stable internet connection. If the connection is slow the download may fail and the install will be interrupted . The Bitdefender Agent will enter a lopp because it keeps trying to re-download the necessary files.
I would advise uninstalling the Agent and afterwards use a wired connection or another network/internet connection and download a new Agent from Central.0
