LAN scan happens automatically on boot

I booted Windows 10 64 bit today and Total Security 21.0.18.898

It decided to automatically scan my NAS server shares via UNC path on my LAN. This is a change in behaviour, how may I stop this?

thanks

p.s. Any responses on my other threads here please?

  • Hello,

From what I understood you setup a Custom Scan and now you wish to disable it?

Nope. Under "Manage Scan Tasks": The only scans I see are "Quick scan" and "Full System Scan". If I go into the "options" for both of these, are disabled. So far it hasn't happened again. I have changed nothing here either.

    Thanks.

Update - booted and it just happened again.

It's scanning UNC paths of my NAS, it triggered with the message that a new device has been detected and will be scanned.

It think's my NAS is a device??

Hmmm perhaps it's scanning mapped network drives. Why would it think it as a "device"?

OK I've seen "Scan mapped network drives facility" - have disabled. Fingers crossed. Thx.
